Best of British: Chelsea boots
The best thing about Marks & Spencer's Best of British range (made in the UK/more expensive than Per Una/goes online today) is the footwear. These lovely Chelsea boots are manufactured in Northamptonshire, the home of British shoe-making, and Goodyear welted - a sign of quality merchandise. I've always had a penchant for masculine shoes, as a teenager I lived in men's brogues and Doc Marten's, and now I'm all grown-up, the Chelsea boot is my preferred footwear choice for autumn. Perfect with slim trousers and a big vintage coat when channeling the Haute-Beatnik vibe - though occasionally when I'm in the mood, I'll go for a dress and tights combo. As for this navy suede style, they'd look just brilliant with dark denim jeans:
Love them I saw some of the new M&S Made in Britain range when I popped into the Marble Arch branch yesterday and it looked great especially the warm trench coat.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Those blue suede ones are totally gorgeous, they will look so amazing and chic with jeans xx
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, and I could wear this style every day from November till April.
ReplyDeleteI am TOTALLY getting these! I am really pleased with the direction M&S has started to take with their stores. I had written a manifesto about how grim it was to shop there last year, and they seem dedicated to turning that around now. I was in one of their shops last week in Glasgow, and it has had a facelift with a really positive effect. The new beauty section was lovely, and it was easier to find the clothes ranges. I LOVE that they have done this best of British line, and I hope it is successful, because that (in my opinion) is what we all want from them. Yay M&S!
