Cycle chic with Ines de la Fressange

Photo: French Vogue.

It's so chic these days to ride a bicycle, even Victoria Beckham's been pedal-pushing, or so I've heard. Can't imagine what VB wears on a bike or even be bothered to Google it, so do leave a comment if you'd like to enlighten me. Anyhow, what could be more fabulous, during Paris Fashion Week, than Ines de la Fressange (with a carefully positioned Roger Vivier bag) sur un vélo?

That Is My Bike. It's the same colour as Ines' and a pretty special Christmas gift from Mr TNMA. I Instagrammed it yesterday. It's only been a matter of weeks but I think I might have become addicted to Instagram. I can't stop tweaking photos. My life through a digital filter is so much more glamorous than the reality. I love it.

Last night, I went to dinner with a friend and the ambient light in the restaurant was so dim we had to use the torch app on her phone to read the menu. The acoustics were terrible too, so I'm hoping it won't be long before somebody develops an ear trumpet app.

Enjoy the weekend.

  1. I certainly don't look like Ines on my bike. I am all kitted up with hideous helmet and neon yellow vest. I noticed when in Paris that they don't seem to go in for all this health and safety gear. Elegance versus practicality!

  2. I love your bike! I'm in the market for a new one and yours fits the bill to a T! Great colour too.

  3. I have a red bike too! But it's starting to look shabby. I love to ride around our small beach town, looking not nearly as fabulous as Ines : >

  5. We are a bike riding community, but I have not seen a red one anywhere. Love yours and Ines, looks great as she always does.

  6. Restaurants that are too noisy for conversations at normal volume drive me nuts. Cool bike. Someday I should get mine out of the garage and get it tuned up...

  7. You are talking my speed!

I ride my bike everyday through Brooklyn Bridge Park and I get the most amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge, The east River and NYC on my way to work. It's such a great part of the day!

  8. Glad to hear biking is cool elsewhere besides my bike-friendly eco-radical state. I need to get a more comfortable seat and bling up the boring black frame, and I would look as cool as Ines. Oh, and it needs to stop raining!
