Dog tags for the dog-tired
No, I'm not going to a rave. This week, I've packed away my winter gloves and thermal underwear and finally gone POP. Here I am embracing colour - less is more people, less is more - wearing my new, neon plastic ValTags. I've told you about Valentine Tags before, and their new diffusion line is a more purse-friendly proposition. As the end of the academic year approaches and the day job goes into full-on crazy mode, and my spare time is consumed by freelance and blogging, this new necklace feels quite apt. I'm NOT complaining, but talk about dog tags for the dog-tired. Anyhow. It's hard to read the engraving from the Blog Widower's snap, so here's a close-up:
This is going to be my mantra for the next few weeks. Or maybe I'll upgrade to....
There's another blogger out there who needs this necklace. I am seriously considering commissioning a That's Not My Age tag. Oh and did you notice my nail polish? It's Luscious by Laura Mercier. Beautiful, eh?
I gave myself a quick paint job the other day on the train to work, I know, I'm just like Sheryl Sandberg. My colleague liked the shade so much she snatched the bottle out of my hands and painted her nails too. Though I only allowed her one coat. It felt just like being a teenager all over again, or a bit Single White Female. Mmm...Single White Teenager, now that takes me back.
Have a good weekend. Panic Not.
You are right...Patti at Not Dead Yet needs that necklace!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!!
Love your new tags and yes! I need that necklace asap. And you should have a TNMA version.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Patti, you should get that necklace!
ReplyDeleteI'm not coordinated enough to paint my own nails with anything save a clear polish. That really is a fun color.
Fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm like Sue -- no way I'd try painting my own nails with colour, although my daughter has assured me there is a trick she can show me . . . so perhaps one of these days. . .
The tags look fresh and suit you ( and your age ) well.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Patti should get the silver tag!
I did notice your nails - that color looks good enough to eat!
ReplyDeleteYes, Patti needs the Not Dead Yet tag, and I'll take ALL of the ValTags!
Yeah love the idea. p.s.... it could have one of those panic buttons built in, for when one has downed one too many and falls over!! xx
ReplyDeleteOh that one's definitely for Patti! - I think a TNMA is a must too!
ReplyDeleteGreat Dog Tag necklaces.. and yes, noticed your nail polish before you even mentioned it.. Lovely.. X
ReplyDeleteI think you need another set of 3: 1. That Is; 2. Not; 3. My Age.
ReplyDeleteTiffany - like it! That's the design sorted.
ReplyDeleteClever! Would love a Style Crone ValTag!
