Slogan t-shirts aren't usually allowed on this blog but I'm prepared to make an exception for this Asish number. Eighties Katharine Hamnett merchandise is also permitted, but let's try and stay focused here. So. I'm taking a few days offline, to rest my tired body and brain. And read a book. I need to read more books. I've randomly chosen
This Book Will Save Your Life which sounds like some crappy self-help manual but isn't. It's a novel by A. M. Homes about a man having a mid-life crisis, in LA, and it's funny.
Back in a bit. Talk amongst yourselves.
Alyson
I know the feeling! Enjoy your break.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the book and the blog-break! I'm trying to read a book too - it's all too easy to browse blogs, pinterest, Instagram etc these days and my book pile is getting dusty!
ReplyDeleteMy only slogan t-shirt was 'Relax' in the Frankie Goes To Hollywood days!
Have a wonderful rest...and may the book be excellent!
ReplyDeleteShe must be wearing her boyfriend's shirt. The adjective is masculine. So maybe she is not tired after all?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break.
That book is an excellent choice for a blog break - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYep, Très Fatiguée sums it up... ;-) Enjoy your book and let me know if it's any good xo
ReplyDeleteThis is my ideal tshirt. I know exactly how you feel. It is definitely an age thing :/ I think once you hit that 40 bracket it starts to get to you. You think you can still do the same amount of stuff as you always did but the top and bottom of it is that you just can't. Katie B @ Minerva Collection – UK Handbags & Jewellery
ReplyDeleteO my. Glancing at the blog title, I read "That's my age: Exhausted. " Yep, sums it up for me, too.
ReplyDeleteJust finished reading A.M. Homes May We Be Forgiven. Also funny and crazy and definitely a good read. I'll have to check out what else he(she?) has written.
Enjoy your nap. Wish I was taking one, too.
Haha. Just went back and re-read. It did say what I thought. I am too tired....
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon. I think it's taking over, exhaustion that is. Good for you, taking a break.
ReplyDeleteI need that T-shirt. And the asymmetric bottom half also suits some of this off-kilter pre-spring angst in the city.
ReplyDeleteHere's another slogan T-shirt on your blog: I'm embroidering 'meaningless twaddle' on one at the moment. That's my view of slogan T-shirts!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself Alyson. The book sounds good. I need a new one.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your lovely comments. I'm back on the blog but trying to take it easy.
