That Is My Age: Beauty Candy With Collagen
Help, I'm a collagen addict! I've just polished off an entire box of strawberry-flavoured Beauty Candy. That's 12 gummy bears with added collagen (2g per box), and vitamins A, C and E. As someone who's not prepared to mess with their face, I'm always on the look out for healthier ways to revitalize my drooping flesh. And so, sugar-free Beauty Candy with added collagen is very appealing. I've no idea if it works but it tastes good. Though I've just noticed the 'excessive consumption may lead to laxative effect' warning. Er, I'll let you know how I get on.
Have you discovered any new beauty products lately?
Beauty 'In (what's with that apostrophe?) Beauty Candy is now available from Selfridges.
Hm, that might be something to try (in more moderate doses - just in case ;-) ) as I also like a more "natural" approach to combat the signs of ageing. I tend to eat a lot of salmon which apparently is good for skin, but struggle to stay off sweets which are apparently bad... Ah well, one can try ;-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like something to check out! It most probably contains maltose ( ? Sp) a sugar substitute which causes that lovely little side effect!
ReplyDeleteI've been "washing" my face with a mixture of castor and olive oil (50/50) - I read about it on Mind/Body/Green and I'm really liking it a lot. No soap at all, and no need for extra moisturizer either.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check this out...I for sure want to know more...I am like you ...NO BOTOX...but things are beginning to go south!
ReplyDeleteNo thank you. I never put anything on my skin that calls itself "young and free" and then proceeds to have 25 or more ingredients listed that I cannot pronounce I would never ingest anything that is not 100 percent natural. Well, maybe if they made chocolate chips with collagen in it.
ReplyDeleteI had a Neal's Yard party a few weeks ago and got some very lovely frankincense products which, I was told is nature's botox. Also got some stellaria cream which is proving great for my rosacea glow.
ReplyDeleteI use Arbonne's Collagen Support Supplement. It contains Vitamins A, D, E C, selenium and Coenzyme Q10 (a naturally occuring compound)and nothing nasty. It's made a noticeable difference to my skin. I'm a firm believer in checking out ingredients.
ReplyDeleteIf interested contact me for info.
Udo's oil is one of the best and if desperate, I am sure you could use on the skin as well.
ReplyDeleteI have tried these and they are yummy!!
