Punk's got cred

Samuel Johnson said, 'Patriotism was the last refuge of the scoundrel.' And I'm usually inclined to agree, but to complete my Spirit of '77 Jubilee Look I'm thinking of buying one of these handmade silk cashmere scarves from the Conran Shop. The distressed finish says punk not UKIP. Feels more Vivienne Westwood than Nick Griffin. Its faded colour scheme would look good with denim jeans, a navy blazer and an old t-shirt, and I could add a regal spin with a pair of diamanté earrings.

God Save The Queen.

  1. Your post made me think of a number of items that designers are selling for Obama's presidential campaign. More than once I've gone to look at them...and talk myself out of it every time.

  2. I got myself a fab cotton, rw&b scarf in Spain a few months ago that I'll be sporting over the next week or so - patriotic without the flag-waving. I got dizzy in Tesco with the number of union jacks strewn about the place and covering almost every piece of packaging. Are we nearly there yet?!

  3. Would love a scarf like or similar to this to add to my scarf collection. Lovely!
