It's hard enough to walk past a COS store already and now they're selling homewares. A collaboration with the Japanese design company Nendo includes a small range of ceramics, tableware and a monochrome globe that I've been perving over online. The price point feels a little higher than the fashion collection: there's a two-cup tea set for £150 and the globe is £125 (which is a bit steep, and way more expensive than any of the orbs in my collection). Though I might stretch to £29 for the aptly named 'pomegranate shaped' candle holder.
Your thoughts please...
I admire the aesthetic but I'm such a magpie. For that price I expect gold and tassels. I think I'm losing any taste I once had!
ReplyDeleteThe globe, yes. The rest...not so much. Bit pleased with itself and you would spend all day making sure they lined up properly. The everyday OCD nightmare.
ReplyDeletetoo cold for my taste. and too expensive. and that tiny, sticking out part on the cup is the first to break in the dishwasher......
ReplyDeleteIt comes across online as more "form" than "function" and that's never good in the long run. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this beautiful, spare look.

ReplyDeleteI think it rather fits with the COS aesthetic - I personally love the cup with a lid.... I use these all the time, as I'm forever leaving cups of tea about the place, also useful for avoiding flies in tea outside - but have not come across many in the UK. I don't have a dishwasher so no problems with the lid!
ReplyDeleteNow this is a globe I like.
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing globes like forever, but never found " the perfect one ".
This could be it!
