That's Not My Front Door |
I've been banging on about colourful winter coats for so long, thought it was about time I put my money where my mouth is. Actually, I say my money… this Cos cover-up was an impromptu gift from the ever-generous Mr That's Not My Age. Bless him. So, there we were having a local coffee (me in my autumn coat, chandelier earrings, hair tied back) when a friend of a friend exclaimed, 'Blimey, you look like royalty.' I laughed, managed not to spray soya latte all over my new jacket and prayed that she meant Grace Kelly, not Princess Anne.
If Cos has sold out of the mustard yellow, collarless coat, there's always the warm honey Margit from Toast, £275, available HERE or Boden's citrine Lottie coat, £132.30, available HERE.
And did you notice my new, slightly pointy Clark's Phenia Desert Boots? (£79, available HERE) I think they look quite Parisian, don't you?
Thumbs up, you look fab! I don't know what it is about the colour...but I am always drawn to it as well. Just wondering what color scarf I would add to it..maybe a cashmere wrap? Ah..the possibilities... ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the Boden one and the desert boots are great, am torn between them and brogues at the mo!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, you! What a thoughtful Mister.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful coat and gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cool! I love that darker mustard color so much better than light yellows. The booties are fun as well. Good style!
ReplyDeletePerfection! I'm just waiting for a "replacement" navy peacoat that I ordered. Boring. I want a coat of sumptuous (regal!!) colour, I do, I do!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes to the booties. London cool, really, but yes they could step out in Paris very nicely too.
I'm curious about your trousers? Are they a coated denim or leather? The coat looks lovely and now I'm thinking I should look for a pop of winter colour!
ReplyDeleteThat coat you're wearing is FANTASTIC! So easy to wear, so comfortable and in a color that is unusual but not weird. Collarless is the way to go when it's cold but not COLD. You're rocking it, young Grace, er, Princess Not My Age.
ReplyDeleteHello, I love that coat (and your blog, by the way... ) Can you help with sizing? It looks much more chic on you than on the website. Did you size down? I'm a 10, but often buy coats in an 8, what do you recommend? Thanks, Anna
ReplyDeleteLove this on you! Beautiful look with the skinny pants and the cute shoes.
ReplyDeleteWHAT A LOVELY COAT , LOOKS GREAT ON YOU ! ROYALTY OR NOT
ReplyDeleteMustard yellow is a divine colour..., does so much to brighten & add to grey, navy and black. Doesn't need to be much, a scarf or beads , although love that coat you're wearing!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic in that colour and that style. Canadian weather would allow me to wear a wool coat for maybe 2 weeks in the Spring and 2 weeks in the Autumn. Could you sniff around for something warmer for a near-future post, please? Or, I could just move to the UK. Hmmm . . .
ReplyDeleteLove the boots (and coat), oui, very Parisian...
ReplyDeleteGood heavens! I just bought a Zara version of your very coat— same shade of mustard, no collar, slight flare, hidden closure. The differences being patch pockets and light weight mohair material (better for our Texas winters). Need I say you have very good taste? And as my grandmother used to say, "Wear it in the best of health".
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome. I don't know about royalty, being on the other side of the ocean, but awesome I do know. I can't wear that color, but those Clark's on the other hand, yes please.
ReplyDeleteYou look spectacular in that coat! Love the style and color.
ReplyDeleteHi my dear!! You look amazing and your mustard coat is my favourite out of all the ones featured, the cut and shade are perfect- fab shoes too xx
ReplyDeleteOne thanks you for all the lovely comments (OK the royalty thing is going to my head)
ReplyDeleteShauntelle - they're coated jeans and I'm going to do a post soon, so please stay tuned.
Candice - I can do warmer coats. Had to buy a Polar Vortex Parka in New York last year so I'll dig it out.
Michelle - you have excellent taste!
That coat is gorgeous and looks great on you! I splashed out myself last week but went classic black pea coat- a designer bargain from Century 21 in NYC which I know I will wear for years.
ReplyDeleteI bought the navy version last year - love it!
ReplyDeleteWe used to wear desert boots when I was kid in the 70's, they were totally cool. They still are, I'm so pleased to see that they're back, I'll be looking out for a pair myself.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely, I love Cos and Boden too.Don't worry, You're deffo a Grace and not an Anne!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous, love the color of that coat!!
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh! You look fantastic in that coat, what a fabulous colour! It goes so well with dark grey.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to meet for a soya latte when I come across to London early November!
