I like Pringle of Scotland's new Princess Grace: more than just an image range, the label's latest collaboration with Central Saint Martins College (and the Nouveau Musee National de Monaco). This archive collection is inspired by Grace Kelly's wardrobe and includes a lovely trompe l'oeuil twinset and logo sweaters carrying the icon's name.
Brand ambassador Tilda Swinton got in on the act too, designing a dress based on the scene in High Society where Grace Kelly emerges from a swimming pool and wraps herself in a Grecian robe.
I still haven't finalised this year's Style Begins At Forty Awards (The sBAFTAs), but a heritage brand that works with Grace Kelly's archive, granny knitters and Tilda Swinton gets my vote any day.
Like the grey cardigan. Would certainly wear that.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice collection, but I think a little too "grown up" for me personally. Also, I think I'd have to be a lot thinner to wear these without looking stuffy, if that makes sense. Having said that, the GRACE jumper would look great with jeans and a shirt poking out from underneath :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely collection, although I don't like seeing names or logos on clothing so I definitely wouldn't wear the 'GRACE' sweater. The other pieces are fab though!
ReplyDeleteTilda can sell me anything, I adore her style.
ReplyDeleteLove that first sweater. It's good that they didn't get too literal with the styling...still some modern edge there.
ReplyDeleteoooh what can't that Tilda do?? Love it all!!
ReplyDeletei really like the top sweater and love the ideal of a collection inspired by Grace Kelly...I would love to see more.
ReplyDeleteThe blues and the grey get my vote. And Tilda is always an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi there! Just adore the dress Tilda is wearing and Grace's original sweater is divine! xx

ReplyDeletecan't understand this thing about Tilda, I find her rather scary ... Grace style is nice though, but not on Tilda !
ReplyDeleteWow, I hadn't heard of this. I have a beautiful coat from Pringle of Scotland, ( a few years old) but do you remember back in the day ( the 80's) when wearing Pringle was social death?
ReplyDeleteMight be a Scottish thing but they have come a long way.
Joelle - Tilda will let you into her film festival up north for a homemade cup cake - not scary at all.

ReplyDeleteB&P - oh yes, Pringle of Scotland has moved on from the argyle golfing sweaters. And I'd love to bake cupcakes for Tilda.
