Style icon: Mick Jagger


Gotta love Mick Jagger for rocking the sixties Carnaby Street vibe at daughter Jade's wedding this weekend. Jagger's violet striped suit looks pretty dapper and puts paid to the old 'don't wear a trend the second time round' adage. Which is a nonsense anyway. Having worn plimsolls at his own wedding to Bianca Pérez-Mora Macias in 1971, the Stones' front man was never going to don a dull grey morning suit.



In contrast, mother-of-the-bride Bianca Jagger looked fabulous in a striking monochrome outfit.





Can you think of another wedding where the parents upstaged the bride and groom?

    So I may write my real opinion?
    Not liking MJ´s striped suit at all. Although he looks more youthful than his strict ex, I feel that his costume " steals " the scene.
    The young ones are dressed perfectly.

    We after all speaking of Mick Jagger, I think it would have been disappointing had he dressed in a more traditional suit. Bianca's outfit is a good choice and she is a beautiful woman ..we'll chuck up her stern look to a bad photo. Love the simplicity of the bride! Wishing you a fabulous week my friend..xo HHL

    Agree that Mick looks like he's having a blast and Bianca looks beautiful but a little . . . funereal? Bride and groom are perfection, of course.

    Mick rocks!! Have you seen some of the official Stones photos to commemorate 50 years since their first gig? He looks brilliant. Love that suit, he's still got it (unlike Paul McCartney) x

    Why would you wear such a severe black suit to your beautiful daughter's wedding...and a white hat?I think Raquel Welch did a sterling job (irony)of upstaging her daughter at her wedding a few years ago....

    I thought Jade looked gorgeous too, a 40 year old bride still rocking her look...LOVE! Inspires me, although at 40 and pregnant it's slightly more difficult to keep rocking MY look...!!! Trying though. Love this blog, glad I found it xxx

    Funny, I share the opinion that Bianca looks a little forced, although I love Mick's suit. Mick is being true to his personal style, and I think Bianca is not. Something about weddings, I guess, that make even the most sophisticated of Studio 54 icons (known for her elegant, silky, easy-draping style) want to put a feathered satellite dish on her head.
