Austerity Chic

As usual, there are more receipts than bank notes in my tatty old purse. And even though my credit rating would make Merkozy frown, I'm thinking of buying a new wallet. So, I've been checking out the new collection from Beyond Skin.  Made from 100% recyclable fabric, the purses are available in a range of eye-catching patterns and prints, and with a little scrimping and saving, mine will soon be bulging like Madonna's new cheeks.

Did you see The Graham Norton Show last night? I'm getting a bit worried about Madonna's face.

    I recorded Graham N to see her M'ness in all her glory. Regarding wallets and purses, I don't like to change them as I spend the first month thinking i've lost my cards as they're in slightly different places. too stressful for January.

    Caroline - you're not wrong. I found the puffed-up cheeks quite shocking. And if anyone was going to look good in their fifties, it was Madonna. Shame she's not embracing ageing.

    Wow, M is looking more and more chipmonk-ish. At 60% of that fullness, she's probably look just fine. Your new wallet-to-be is tres chic.

    Really bizarre cookie-cutter look. Both Graham N & the teenage daughter (Lourdes?) came out better in the interview. And the fab Emily Whatsit singer could actually SING (as much as I love Madonna.)

    Madonna's a complex woman. Obviously not bien dans sa peau and is having to use her wealth to try and buy personal happiness! Glad I'm not Madonna.

    I can imagine Madonna at 80 looking like Baby Jane in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" I love it when she's photographed near Lourdes. The girl's face usually says it all.
