Olay Professional Anti-Wrinkle Kit

Why do some mirrors seem to distort reality? The one in our bathroom is quite flattering (more a case of luck than some sort of beauty-related Feng Shui), I'm usually content with what I see - though I have to admit that my expectations are fairly low. But sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in an airplane toilet, a lift, or worse, a shop, and am shocked by my ancient reflection. This happened the other day. On the lookout for a new pair of sunglasses, I was trying on a pretty neat cat's eye frame, took a quick look at my appearance in the mirror and one of those kooky New Yorkers from Advanced Style was staring back at me. Now, there's nothing wrong with that. It's just that when I met the lovely Ari Seth Cohen last year, he told me he likes to photograph people in their 70s, 80s and 90s - and That's Not My Age isn't anywhere near the septuagenarian years just yet. Though I do aspire to rock the bohemian grandma-look in approximately 25-years time.

Until then, I'm more than happy to use wrinkle cream. This Professional Anti-Wrinkle Kit from Olay contains an Age Defying Day Moisturiser SPF 30, a Wrinkle Smoothing Cream and a Deep Wrinkle Complex - and has been a massive hit in America (where it's called Pro X), almost as popular as Kate Middleton in a Reiss dress and fascinator. Now, Olay aren't just making random claims here, oh no... the efficacy of the product has been scientifically proven by clinical testing. So, it actually does work. The boffins at Olay together with 'an international group of renowned dermatologists' have confirmed that the products reduce fine lines and wrinkles in only 28 days. Hoorah! The Olay wonder-kit goes on sale in August, but on Wednesday 22 June a batch of 300 are available from Boots. Sign up here for yours, and let me know how you get on. If you live in the USA and have tried Pro X, please share the experience.

And I have to tell you that this is a sponsored post.

  1. People always swear by Olay, don't they? Trouble is that it's a Proctor & Gamble product and I've always avoided them.
Looks like I'll be sticking to my Superdrug vitamin E cream and featured on Ari's blog very soon. xxx

  2. I think these products sound great - I have always used Olay even when they were Ulay! I find their creams absorb easily and are gentle, and of course the price is always a key factor - so will definitely give it a go when I see it.

  3. I once blind-tested an Olay product (Regenerist 3 point) - I thought it was absolutely brilliant - easily as good as some of the super-premium products. It made me completely re-think how I felt about Olay. I'm quite sure this selection will be equally as good.

  4. TLE - oh I'd forgotten the formerly known as Olay thing!

Mrs T - thanks, that's good to know. Think I'll definitely be buying an Anti-Wrinkle Kit.

  5. I really like the Olay Regenerist Line for daily use. I hadn't heard about the "professional" line (it does get confusing) but thanks for the inside info!

  6. I'm told by a beauty editor friend that you don't age gradually it happens in bursts. How bad is that? I've had a few days when I've caught myself in the mirror and wondered what's gone on (don't forget when I take pictures of myself I keep my face still!). I will try ANY cream to save me going down the botox route. I've often used Olay and Ulay and found them very good. I shall definitely try this. Hope you're very well xx

  7. I had to smile at this...if you knew how many photos I had to sort through to prevent seeing that vision of myself...in twenty years. My moisturizer sits on our dining room table.

  8. Oops I meant Ulay. Obviously the rebranding worked!

Christina- that's interesting. I definitely reached a point in my 40s when I started to look my age and yes, anything but Botox.

  9. I sure do notice the aging in bursts phenomenon.
Not using these products, but did purchase the olay rotating brush face scrubber thingy - LOVE. IT. Even though I'm a faithful exfoliator, this has made a wonderful difference.

  10. I've tried Olay and it really irritates my skin. So I use the RoC series - just LOVE it! I can really see a difference since I start3d using it.
