The denim top that's not a shirt

A touch of wisteria

Good news, of sorts. Now that I've chucked this questionable photograph of myself onto the internet, I'll feel inclined to knock it off the top spot with another blog post shortly. Anyhow. Earlier this year I bought a lovely denim t-shirt from Gap, and it's been doing the rounds at a whole bevy of low-key 50th birthday celebrations ever since. Fashion tip: just add a blingtastic statement necklace and a pair of Boden metallic slingbacks, £69, available HERE, and party like it's 1989.

The Gap t-shirt is no longer available, but Toast has a similar bracelet-sleeved style, the Martha denim top, £59, available HERE.

Talking of 50th birthday celebrations, for Mr TNMA's big day I booked lunch at the Olympic Studios café on Saturday. This is where the Rolling Stones recorded at the end of the 1960s, and as the Blog Widower is their number one fan, it was the perfect venue and so much smarter now than when Sympathy for the Devil was laid down:

The cinema is gorgeous and plush and we'll be going back soon - I almost booked tickets for Fading Gigolo but somehow that didn't feel quite right.

  1. That tee shirt is lovely, I'm quite tempted to knock one up if I find a decent piece of denim in a chazza.
Fab location for Mr TNMA's birthday lunch. xx

  2. Looks gorgeous on you - I am too afraid to try double denim and the whole thing is going to be over before I've even started.

  6. I love the idea of a denim tee. I'd wear that one from Toast with my white jeans...hmmmm...The statement necklace and metallic flats are perfect for that outfit. Happy Birthday to Mr. TNMA.

  8. You will love it. It is our local cinema we live just down the road. Going to this cinema feels like travelling 1st class. The food in the restaurant is good too.

  14. If I'd been caught up on my blog reading before our dinner, I'd have commented, when we talked bat that whole weird thing of posting What I Wore photos, about how convincingly you do so here. You look great and you offer simple, effective styling well worth emulating.not sure the denim T would work well for my height and short-waistedness, but I like the look on you.
