Ines de la Fressange X Uniqlo collaboration goes online

Ooh la la! Today is the day when the Ines de la Fressange X Uniqlo collaboration launches online. Just in time for me to grab a little piece of Parisian Chic before my trip to the French capital next week. UPDATE: At least that's what I thought. In the time it took me to compile this post, quite a few of the styles have sold out. Now there's a lesson learned: buy don't blog. Anyhow, the collection will be available in store on Thursday 20 March - I'd get there early if I were you. Here are a few of my favourite pieces (which may or may not be available):

Checked linen blend jacket, £59.90, available HERE.

Also available in plain navy, £59.90, available HERE.

The cotton lawn shirt dress, £39.90, available HERE

The shirt dress also comes in plain in black and navy, available HERE. I saw a preview of this collection, the shirts are fab and as soon as I've finished this post I'm going to order a couple.

 Denim shirt, £29.90, available HERE.

The collarless shirt, £29.90 available HERE.

Long sleeve denim shirt, £29.90, available HERE.

The linen tunic, £29.90, available HERE.

Also available in a lovely checked fabric, £29.90, available HERE.

The white jeans, £29.90, available HERE

The cotton cashmere cardi, £29.90, available HERE.

The red leather belt, £14.90, available HERE - to be worn over a blazer a la Parisian Chic.

Anyone going to buy the flat cap?

  1. Think I'll give the flat cap a miss ;) Love all the other stuff though!

  3. Very nice! The dresses looked shapeless, but seeing one on Ines shows me the possibilities. I would wear the hat : >

  5. Very nice wearable pieces that are not only made of natural materials but are machine washable too. I ordered 3 things so let's see if they do actually make it to my doorstep. I could not find the coloured printed dress, only the plain ones so does that mean they've sold out?

  7. Lots of navy/black/grey, but very little strong colour or print (I like the print dress most of all) so it's not really my cup of tea... I can't believe this stuff sold out so fast, I think I need someone to explain to me what makes any of these pieces so special! I know, I'm just not getting it, am I?! xx

  8. Great post! I am going to be in London next week and will definitely be checking out the store there. Some stylish basic pieces. I am with the other comment, at first they pieces look shapeless but seeing it styled on her really helped.

  10. Drat, not available here until 3/17. I do like the look of a couple of the collarless shirts. Fear everything else would be way too long for me.

  12. No Uniqlo here, not even online. . . Otherwise, I'd be trying to grab one of the linen blazers. . .

  13. No Uniqlo here either, but I suspect I'd need to stretch upwards a few inches to look any good in anything that suits Ines. I'm consoling myself that way.

  15. LPC--that coverall jacket made me think of your Steven Alan jacket that you returned! Maybe this one will fit?

  16. Thanks for the reminder. I found the same as you - I checked just after midnight and 8am and the site was not open and then the day started and I came back at 10.30 and the jacket I liked was gone in my size. I think they added a few more items in the afternoon so it may be worth checking back over the next few days. I logged on this morning and bought a work shirt (£40 cheaper than the jacket!) that looks delightful and should hopefully go with everything. Wimereux :)

  17. Ines can do no wrong, IMHO. I've heard wonderful things about Uniglo--however, I've never shopped there or ordered anything from this clothing company. I find that what I would order from her line is sold out--but she will always be my "style" icon!

  18. Ines and Uniqlo....what's not to love??!!

  19. The clothes seem to be quite affordable and suit Inez herself well.

  20. Another agrarian peasant clothing line, by another celebrity cashing in on her name and claim to style.

  23. Having eagerly anticipated this launch for weeks, I went crazy on the website the moment it went live. The clothes arrived today. I have to say I am massively disappointed. They look nothing like the clothes Ines is wearing in the promo photos. They are enormous (the 'small' dress could fit a size 16, IMO) and seem to have been cut to fit a cardboard box. No tailoring at all. I am gutted. Not least because I will have to schlep everything back to Oxford Street for a refund. Ines! I will never be able to trust you again!

  24. PS. Love this blog. So refreshing and always inspirational.

  25. The thing is that Inez is a MODEL with a long limbed, hipless body and no "I gave birth and now I'm all tit" issues.
I fear these clothes would look totally different on me. Chic? Not so much.

  26. Queenie, you're so right. But even the blessed Ines herself could not have made the actual clothes that Uniqlo are flogging look good.

  27. Got the navy linen jacket, looks great!

  28. I missed out online but got the navy linen jacket on Friday afternoon at Uniqlo Westfield. It's very thin but that's good for summer. I've gone a size down from my usual - definitely better to go to the store and try things on - everything looks good online and on Ines.
