This is where I'd like to be right now. Lying on a treatment bed (is that what they're called? I don't get much spa action) at the Aromatherapy Associates boutique. I'm now officially declaring this Wellbeing Week at That's Not My Age - think I need a holiday. Or another strike day. Call me irresponsible, left-wing and weak, but....everybody out!

So, the Aromatherapy Associates boutique and treatment rooms is in Knightsbridge. As you can see it's very posh, but not intimidating or flashy, or overly expensive come to think of it. The staff are lovely and welcoming and the natural products are amazing. Mood-enhancing, skin-smoothing and therapeutic too. If I were a rich woman, this is where I'd buy all my Christmas gifts. In fact, he doesn't know it yet but, the Blog Widower is getting an Intensive Muscle Release massage for Christmas. Don't worry, it's fine, he never reads this blog so I'm not spoiling the surprise. Unfortunately, Mr That's Not My Age is too shy to go on his own, so I'll have to book myself an anti-ageing facial too. Shame about that.

Anyhow. I had a treatment here a while ago and felt so fabulous when I came out, I practically skipped to the tube station. Now I'm going for maximum results by regularly using the Overnight Repair Mask, with frankincense and rose, which smells utterly gorgeous - and the Fine Line Face Oil to 'encourage natural collagen.' Nobody in their right mind would call my lines fine - Doris Salcedo's crack springs to mind - and don't be rude, I'm talking about the artist's 2007 installation at Tate Modern. Anyway, the products are superb, if you're in need of pampering, plumping and firming, this is the place to go.
And you get free macaroons.

ReplyDeleteOh I love AA products- the rose renewal body lotion is just gorgeous - smells of summer! This place sounds like heaven :)
ReplyDeleteit is called a treatment bed and i'm all in for national well-being month! esp my well-being! working in a spa is not as nice as being a guest in one.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely and utterly relaxing this place looks. And it's still the same - I was given a gift for an aromatherapy massage over 20 years ago now. Heaven. Enjoy! X
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I could go for a little 'spa action' myself. Even the images are nuturing!
ReplyDeleteOOOps! Nurturing!
ReplyDeleteReceiving a gift card to a place like this would be a wonderful xmas gift for a change, much more personal than a new led torch ; )
ReplyDeleteYoung at Heart - think you need to book yourself a relaxing massage!
ReplyDeleteMetscan - you're right. Much better to buy someone an experience.
Great idea. As a result I have declared next week my wellbeing week! Hints are now being given to the family about some gift vouchers that will see this week extended through the Christmas period ........... Multiple Muscle Release massages over a series of weeks - or even months- would "suite me fine"!
ReplyDeleteBonne semaine.
It does look soothing, and I do need some kind of overnight solution as my face is parched in the morning.
