That Is My Age: The Decanter

The decanter. Every grown-up home should have one. I'd been considering the benefits of a upgrading my glassware for some time, when as if by magic, a close friend gave me the Royal VKB French Decanter set for Christmas. Excellent choice, this was the exact same thing I'd been looking at. We went to school together, can practically read each others minds and make a formidable Pictionary team. Don't you love it when you have that special telepathic relationship with a friend?

Next week: the hostess trolley.

I like a decanter, but all the ones that I have were wedding presents and they're every cut of Stuart Crystal known to man. And I just like PLAIN stuff. This one is beautiful.

Formidable at Pictionary eh? *makes mental note never to take on Mrs TNMA*

but if you give a person a decanter then don't they need a sideboard? And if they have to have a sideboard will they not need a dining-room and if they.......... we're going to need a bigger house!!!

I could use a proper but plain decanter...

This decanter is gorgeous and makes me want to rush out and find one of my own. And yes, telepathic friendships are to be treasured.

I have one of those and we use it every day for water - the wine just glugs straight out of the bottle! I like using all the time because I love it.

Young at Heart - True. I'll start sending telepathic messages about the new house.

There's something so grown up about a decanter. But it can just collect dust - unless you use it regularly!!
