In order to drag themselves out of the womenswear doldrums, and win back older customers, M&S have changed tack. Gone are the tired ads with Myleene Klaas and Twiggy frolicking around pretending to be friends - let's not even think about Gary Barlow and Dannii Minogue - and in comes a fresh line-up. With older models: Yasmina Rossi, 56, she of the fabulous grey hair that every woman on the blogosphere covets, and the lovely Angela Dunn Radcliffe, 48, (equally gorgeous red hair, wearing a parka, above). And a whole host of younger models of different shapes and sizes.
The 'For Every Woman You Are' campaign is out this week. And to help further improve their fortunes, the company have brought in an esteemed fashion expert to write an A-Z of Ageless Style for their customers. Er, that's me, and you can read my wise words in the latest issue of M&S magazine. There's a snippet online here - but much better to go in-store, pick up a copy and find out what's written in that blacked-out box, below.
Yep. Not just any old fashion blogger, I'm now an M&S fashion blogger. What do you think of the new campaign?

Ooh, massive congratulations! I haven't digested enough of the new campaign to have an opinion yet, but I'll be watching with interest. Public reaction is so hard to predict, isn't it?
As above congrats and pics look fab, will need to investigate
Wow, congratulations!
Yes, didyoumakethat, public reaction IS hard to predict ... yesterday I posted a little something about fasting, and well, it`s been deadly silence ever since, lol!
Congratulations! I will be looking for you! Love the silver haired model, she is a stunner, and that IS my age : >
That's fantastic - well done and many congratulations and I will definitely be hot footing in to my local M and S to get that copy! And a good move by Marks and Spencer to use real women and those who are not in the first flush of womanhood - clothes look pretty good too.
Fortunately I will be in London this very next week (all the way from Houston, Texas) and will pick up a copy of the magazine at M&S. I'll look for you, too— the lady with her head cut off.
Well, well, well what a turn up for the books, what a lovely campaign. And above all congratulations on being an M&S fashion blogger. Xxxx
Oooh I have just popped over there to have a look. Thank you very much for using my pic of you in the piece and the link. Xxxx
Glad to see the back of the faux friends ads, congratulations on the new gig
Wow, congratulations!! I do like the images and clothing shown. We don't have M&S here but I'll be sure to visit when I'm across the pond next year.
Congratulations! I wish I were in London and could pick up the magazine, but the online snippet looks great -- and so do you!
Ooooh I'm going to go into the one near my work and get a copy! How exciting! And the campaign looks much much better - I'd actually think to browse the collections now.
So funny age 48 and 56 is considered "older". But I get it. When used to seeing age 15 pass for age 30 on the runway this is a step in the right direction.
I approve - but miss Twiggy; I remember her the first time round!
Hey Congratulations! I was one of the recent respondees/moaners to the Women's Room blog on M&S and its nice to see that they are trying to turn things around. I'm looking forward to visiting my local store and hopefully finding something from there for Autumn.
Love the new campaign and attitude! And, CONGRATULATIONS..what a fun opportunity! Something I would love to do and you will do such a great job! I like all of the layouts here (I'm completely taken with the print tunic or sweater in the top picture) and the bottom one is an eye catcher! I cannot wait to see what you will do for them!
Brilliant, my dear friend. I also love the nuew look of your blog.

Great new adverts. Hope they live up to the promise. Used to shop often at M & S for good basics. Recently they seem to have lost the plot and the sizes have changed. Will check them out.
I must say that I have been very impressed by the M and S offerings so far this season. I took a client shopping there yesterday and she was spoilt for choice. Once she had paid for everything we had to use the "collect by car" service as there were so many bags!!
Good luck with your new blog, I can't wait to read it.
I think the campaign looks fabulous. And how wonderful that you are blogging for M&S as well!
Saw the campaign on the tv last night and thought it was great - a real breath of fresh air to see the same clothes on lots of different shapes and sizes. Look forward to reading your article in the M&S mag when it comes out.
This looks amazing!! Congratulations! You're right about Ms. Rossi, too. I do covet her hair. The other models look lovely and I will have to check out M&S.
Congrats!
The clothing this season is amazing. M&S have got it just right. Something for everyone of every age and every style.
And congratulations on your article/blog. They couldn't have picked a more perfect person to articulate ageless dressing! x
Loving your work ladt, will go and get my hard copy tomorrow X
