DVF Hearts Current/Elliott

One thing I'll be doing when we hit New York later this month is checking out Diane von Furstenberg's fantastic collaboration with Current/Elliott. Some pairings - like roast potatoes and rosemary - are just so right. DVF says she's always wanted to design jeans for women, and this range looks pretty damn good to me. Though I'd be sticking to a single floral arrangement. I'm thinking the vintage print skirt with a royal blue cashmere sweater or the aqua jeans with a classic white shirt. Remember, as with spuds and herbs, the plain: pattern ratio has to be just right.

What I like about these pictures is the shape and length of both the skirt and pants.
Patterns can be mixed, imo, but with sensitivity.

Patterns - combining them can be tricky but it all works well here. Thanks for sharing these ideas. Won't be going to NY in a long time however!

So pretty! I would love to have that skirt in my closet! (I am going to NYC in May, so I will also try to get a look at the collaboration).

I'm enjoying pattern mixing. Of the timid variety, to be sure. These clothes look like Lilly Pulitzer done right.

Love that skirt! Very into blue lately.

Absolutely "spot on". To much pattern makes one look like Eddie from "Ab Fab."
Love DVF - followed her since my teens but have never owned and original. My compromise - to sew DVF patterns for Vogue......
My teens have long since left me and now I can't sew a button on a shirt!
Bon weekend
