Margaret Howell MHL shop opening

That's not my walk-in wardrobe. Trying to find something in my closet is like trying to find an honest tabloid journalist at the Leveson inquiry.  I long to have neat-freak tendencies, a Sleeping With The Enemy approach to storage. But, no. This is the newly opened MHL shop in Shoreditch, London.  Which is excellent news for grown-ups - like me - who love Margaret Howell's Great British style.

MHL
19 Old Nichol Street
London
E2 7HR
(020 7033 9494)

The shop is open Monday - Friday 11am -7pm, Saturday 10am - 7pm and Sunday 12 -5pm.

I don't want to open my wardrobe again - ever. Do you think she does a screensaver of beautifully arranged sweaters?

Aaaahhhhh, visual therapy - instantly relaxes me to see such yummy order. And good motivation too.

I loved that area -- we found a great jeans store nearby (Denham) and then down the road Start with the most helpful jeans fitters (and great selection) ever!
As for wardrobe order, that's top of my list for next life. I'm embarrassed how often I find great items I own but have completely forgotten about. . .

I'm sighing with lust and the hopelessness of my own wardrobe in the face of such perfection.

How wonderful does this look? Me too, I so long for any kind of neat freak tendency - just a tiny bit would be an improvement. And love MH's pared down classic quality clothes. Perfection. x

The shop looks like some of the new, minimalist shops we have over here.
Clean, neat. What I miss, is seeing some of the clothes actually on display..
Yes, I noticed the ones on the hangers, but a bit more perhaps?

I get nervous in shops like that; I'm afraid to touch anything and put it out of order...
