It's got to be done. That's Not My Age is throwing the made-up fashion hybrid - the skort, coatigan, murse, mantyhose, jegging, megging and now skegging (even Grazia hadn't heard of the latest skirt/legging combo) into the bin. The hybrid is hardly a new phenomenon but the skegging is a conflation too far. Both the terminology and the item it describes are ugly, unnecessary and belong on the scrapheap. And, murse = man purse, in case you were wondering.
In tandem with refuse collector, Michael Landy's Art Bin, the fashion bin is open for donations until March 14. Please give generously.

Actually can I throw Primark in, more specifically people with money shopping in Primark. I think poorer people do need it.
I was actually going to propose John Lewis womanswear too as I really hate the layout, the way things are displayed, the crap changing rooms and pointless service. I want to like JL womanswear I really do.
Yup. Whatever happened to wallets and pockets? Isn't that where men keep their money?
big-toe trainers - that's trainers - or indeed any other shoe type - with separate compartment for the big toes. ick
I think those leather/rubber leggings need to go in the fashion bin now. They should never have been allowed to breed in the first place...
MDS - Yes, Primark is fashion landfill - but I may have to draw the line at John Lewis.
Ellen - or in their manbags?
Adrienne - sorry no. I don't mind the cloven shoe.
RG yes rubber leggings are in the bin. Far too sweaty.
Hehe. I wouldn't be without my Sarah Berman (I hope I spelled that right) TREGGINGS, or my Venus Swimwear white SKORT in the summer. Everything else can be binned. John Lewis...that brings back memories...
This really does look terrible. Can you picture Mr TNMA in them?? My hubby would get arrested if he wore that in public!
Rosina - wow, you are queen of the hybrid!
FG - oh Mr TNMA would never wear mantyhose, though when it's cold he wears my leggings under his track pants to run in.
Are Coatigans in ? Most say yes. Is the term Coatigans in ? Yes, at the moment.
Well lets be honest, it's a much more trendy term than, say, Jeggings. What the hell, and who wants to wear jeggings anyway, leggings that look like jeans, how 'sink estate' can you get.
Coatigans, should they stay or should they go, you decide, have a look at - www.coatigans.com
CarBasics - thanks for your comment and they should go!
